Sagittarius New Moon December 5, 2010

The New Moon at 14* Sagittarius occurs on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at 5:37 GMT/ 12:37 EST/ 9:37PST.   After our death and rebirth out of Scorpio, we are ready to quest for the meaning of what we just experienced and use the wisdom we gain to enlarge our vision of Life.

Each New Moon provides a balance to what we experienced during the preceding Moon cycle.  The Scorpio cycle takes us through the task of recognizing and releasing those old, stagnant emotions that keep us bound to past hurts, resentments and wounds.  If you released those old emotional hang-ups, then this Sagittarius New Moon will open new vistas of belief and possibility for you.


Sagittarius wants to teach us, through our philosophy and our beliefs, as well as through imagination and story, about the Cosmic Laws of Life.  Once we release our old life and its underlying belief system, we step into a larger vision of our purpose and of Life itself.   We will find that we keep some of our old beliefs if they can serve our new life – if they offer us Truth.  Then they will serve as the foundation of an enlarged perspective, a deeper knowledge and a longed-for Wisdom. 


This season while we await the rebirth of the Light on Winter Solstice and Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, be awake in the world with wonder and delight.  See with the eyes of a child, your inner divine child.  And decide what you want to believe about this next phase of your life.


What are some of your core beliefs about this time of year?  Do they fill you with awe and wonder, with reverence and quiet?  If not, why not drop them? What do you have to lose? Go out and experience Hope again, even when things feel the darkest.  Go out and walk under the beautiful night sky and see how awesome our universe is.  Silent Night, Holy Night can be any night during December if you go out and claim it.
