Saturn is known as the Lord of Karma, often considered to be blocking, limiting, restrictive and depressing. This is because when Saturn is strongly placed in our chart, or currently affecting our life by transit, we are challenged to let go of old patterns and structures. We are called to work hard in a disciplined and focused way to create a new structure. This is because we have finished a time cycle, and we now need a new home to house our expanded soul vibration. This is often like rehab or remodeling work. It's not like Pluto where the demolition crew comes in smashing everything and we dig deep into the basement of our soul's deepest wounds. With Saturn, we are simply wearing clothes that are too tight. But they're our favorite clothes. Like a warm comfy sweater that has holes in it, or jeans from high school that we're spilling out of.
But please! Take those clothes off. Be almost naked for awhile. Become acquainted with the new, mature and wiser you. Then assess what clothes fit. Move out of your house and decide if you need to move to a new one or renovate what you already have. Step outside of your professional persona, look ahead at your next mountain to climb on your soul's journey, and then get geared up for the task.
When the transit first approaches we often feel smacked from a feeling of everything's just to fine to sudden dissatisfaction and inner criticism. When we are in the middle of it, we can become discouraged. Yet when we acknowledge what we are being asked to let go of and do the work needed, we come through the transit and find the new structure or new phase of life much better than we could have imagined.
Saturn is currently in the sign of Libra. All of us are restructuring relationship, including our relationship to relationship. If it's not balanced and harmonious, it probably doesn't feel like a great fit.
