Saturn’s been in fair-and-balanced Libra since 2009. In a matter of weeks, on October 5, it shifts into Scorpio for a two-plus year plunge through this mysterious sign.
Before this transformational shift occurs, I think it’s important to take stock of the areas of health governed by Libra. After all, Saturn provides us with great gifts in the areas of life to which we pay attention and “do the work.”
So what are these Libran arenas of well-being? Glycemic balance (those sugar highs and lows), kidney health (and those dreaded UTIs) and lower back health (we love the stilettos but they don’t necessarily love us back). Are any of these areas your Achilles health heel? If so, there’s no time like the present to attend to them in pursuit of enhanced well-being.
Skincare also falls under the realm of Saturn in Libra. Here are some tips that can help you bolster your glow and radiance.
-- Drink adequate amounts of water. Water hydrates, keeps cells working efficiently and flushes out toxins.
-- Make sure your diet provides adequate anti-inflammatory and skin-nourishing omega-3 fatty acids. Salmon, sardines, flaxseeds and hemp seeds are some rich sources.
-- Breakouts, dermatitis and eczema may be caused by food sensitivities/allergies. Suspect a specific food triggers a skin reaction? Eliminate it from your diet for two weeks and see what happens.
-- Exfoliation removes dead skin cells, helping your skin to breath. Natural facial scrubs-- either store-bought or DIY-- can also add a wonderful glow.
-- Coconut oil makes a great natural moisturizer and eye makeup remover, free from additives found in many products.
Curious to know about what areas of health we’ll be paying attention to when Saturn goes into Scorpio? I’ll be sharing an article about that in a few weeks.
