Picture the scene. You are out socialising with friends from work. One thing leads to another & before you know it the inevitable happens… the gossip starts.

‘You know X and Y,’ he asks,

‘Well, Z told me that he heard from B that X was having problems at home and Y was providing a shoulder. And then G told H (who told me) that they were caught on security cameras down in the carpark.’

I pretend that I am surprised and a little appalled, but have to admit to being also fascinated and eager to share this piece of news. I am also a tad concerned about the knowledge that there are security cameras in the carpark…

I call on C and repeat the story. She pretends to be interested, but halfway through I see her face cloud and blank over. It is at that point I remember- C has Mercury in Leo- and Mercury in Leo is generous of spirit and does not enjoy unkind gossip- save that for those not on the throne. I quickly recall that is one of the things I love about her.
