"Nothing ventured, nothing gained."
As the Moon glides through the last degrees of Scorpio (actually nothing ever glides through Scorpio ... at its best, it may feel like an overpowering canine pulling you as you grip on its leash with all your might) we are asked to reflect on the emotional investment in our creative output.
A Scorpio Moon, at least one that is conscious, doesn't sit to well with taking the easy way out. There really is no easy way out and sometimes suffering -- which my yoga teacher continually reminds means merely "undergoing" in its original Sanskrit -- is in the cards. A Scorpio Moon natally or an Eighth House Moon as well have the potential for huge emotional benefits. The transiting Moon however will also offer a 2- to 3-day window where this sort of commitment to our deepest processes and truths will offer emotional gains in the form of breakthrough, mental clarity and a newfound depth from which your work can grow.
The great thing about the Moon being in Scorpio is that we have a heightened detector for what doesn't feel right, just or above-board. We may also be the ones more likely to manipulate -- if you respond with fear to this pressing energy and choose to be evasive or manipulative, a choice for anyone with surival-first Scorpionic energy. It also can be highly dramatic energy because things from the deep have a way of bubbling to the surface and demanding your attention. Again, this can happen consciously or blindside you.
The full Moon yesterday was in Scorpio so I imagine that you'll get a pretty good indication during this 3-day period of how honest you've been with the issues in your life as well how honest other people think you've been. People just can't keep it to themselves! Likely, you're feeling the need to purge certain things, confront things that have been put on the back burner or simply have a breakdown if it's all too overwhelming.
The Moon bounds into the puppy's lap of Sagittarius this evening so getting pulled by the leash will actually feel more enjoyable and adventuresome than the control issues that arise when the dog pulling the leash was a full Moon in Scorpio. There's less fear, less sensitivity and less of an emotional charge to everything we do and say. So make a point to do those things you don't really feel like doing now because when the Moon goes into this spirited fire sign you'll have less tolerance to go there.
You'll be rewarded with a sort of emotional clearing and be able to bring the spirit of Sagittarius with an unencumbered openness to the new sort of adventure that awaits. And then the Capricorn Moon will abruptly change the tableaux and make up its excesses, so enjoy while you can!
