The Sign to Miracles

I experienced a little miracle the other day. I was negotiating in a business setting. The terms of the deal were okay, but not really what I wanted. Here and there I connected to my spirit guides to help in the outcome. I find it best to not be too specific about the exact outcome in manifestations, but just asking for the highest outcome for all concerned. If I wasn't meant to prevail in the negotiation I was okay with that. I used the breath to stay calm and centered, setting an intention of detachment. Soon however, my time was running out. I needed to leave to get back to my office for client sessions. By calmly stating my time schedule I was placed in a position where I had to either accept the compromise offer or walk away. I accepted the compromise.

As one of the negotiators returned to the desk, he noticed the Quan Yin on my computer. He told me that he was Buddhist, deeply connected to Quan Yin, and suddenly we were transported to another zone. As he shared with me a beautiful heart mantra, I no longer cared about the time constraints or the deal. We were two human beings, infused with the same love of Spirit. The word 'namaste' roughly translates to 'the divine in me honors the divine in you.' It was that kind of moment, a surprise for both of us in that dry business setting.

As the other negotiator returned with the paperwork he had suddenly made a change. The original deal I wished for had been reinstated, as if the expansion of consciousness in that moment where I sat had shifted the outcome in another room.

When I think of this as a miracle, I don't think of it as the deal. That is nice but it is only money. The miracle is to share a moment of Spirit with another human and then to be validated in my belief that through love and spirit our lives improve almost magically and without so much effort. I don't know, maybe the deal would have changed in my favor in any event, but I like to think Quan Yin's beautiful energy had something to do with the outcome.

I often advise people to wear a crystal or a spiritual motif bracelet or to put a sticker on their car -- something that will identify you to others as a spiritual seeker. It may be that this will be the entry sign for a new connection or a little miracle in your day.
