The upcoming 1st July Cancer Solar Eclipse which has exceptionally difficult aspects from a Pluto opposition and Saturn Uranus squares will affect the Middle East politically as the Arab Spring continues to rage. But it will also be especially significant for the USA and Federal Reserve Bank and for the Eurozone.
The Federal Reserve Bank chart has a striking and stubborn Saturn Pluto conjunction in Cancer which will be under pressure from the Eclipse. There will be a reckoning of sorts with a sharp reality check as the universe indicates a new direction needs to be taken. Saturn usually is about cutting back and taking responsibility for past mistakes and indulgences. Pluto says radical action needs to be taken or decay will set in.
The USA Cancer Sun, Jupiter Venus square Saturn in Libra will also be buffeted by this Eclipse which located to the USA sits on the angles which makes it all the more potent. The message here is much the same - that coming down to earth to face the seriousness of the US economic situation is vital. This is emphasised by transiting Saturn heading for its Return within weeks. There will be a portion of good news but also a good deal of disruption and a real need for a new set of strategies.

An impending Greece economic meltdown with no sign of agreement or decisive action from the EU is sending judders round the global financial markets.
France and Germany, the two biggest bank creditors for Greece who both stand to lose considerable quantities if it defaults, aren’t singing off the same hymn sheet.
That France/Germany relationship chart has the disruptive tr Uranus conjunct their composite Pluto at the moment which runs to mid August and returns into 2012. With panicky disappointment from tr Neptune trine the composite Mars from Sept to Jan 2012 and then a worrisome, confused tr Neptune conjunct the composite Saturn thro’ 2012. So there doesn’t look to be an accord anytime soon there.
The European Central Bank (ECB) 1998 chart with its Gemini Sun Mars opposition Pluto square Virgo Moon was seriously rattled by the June 1st Gemini Solar Eclipse and the Solar Arc positions of these planets by yesterday’s Solar Eclipse.
The ECB 1994 and the EU chart itself both have Capricorn Suns and are being mightily shaken about by this highly stressed July 1st Eclipse. The same is true of Germany and the UK whose Capricorn Suns also catch the July Cancer Eclipse amidships.
Set for Brussels this Eclipse has Mars on the Midheaven – so fights continuing. Though with Neptune square Mars MC the rudderless course looks likely to continue.
