I was told last year that I needed to keep looking upward. It was at a time that I was allowing stress to overtake my life. The Angels said that not enough people look up when they are outside their homes or businesses. Keeping our focus on the ground or on the physical aspects of our daily lives can be overwhelming. We need relief some of the time. And the Angels don’t want us to wait until we are stressed about life to do this. They want us to take time to gaze upward and breathe in the relief now.
Think about how you drive or walk to work. Do you ever look up at the clouds? Do you notice the birds? Do you ever stop for a moment to think of the expansiveness of our world and universe? Think about this. What do you do when you go on vacation? Some of us go to a beach and spend long hours lying on the beach looking up. We look at things far, far away in the water or look from the water onto the land. We enjoy gazing at those things for long periods because it makes our situations look and feel smaller. If we spent more time looking up during our normal day, we could get that same feeling and be able to put our situations in a clearer perspective. It would be easier to let go of some of the pressure we put upon ourselves.
My favorite analogy for this is a sunflower. When it blooms, it always follows the sun. When the sun goes down at night, it resets in position until the next morning so it can follow the sun again. I actually grew sunflowers to watch this happen last year. It was fascinating! I used that as a reminder to keep my focus upward also and my life became much easier. The situations I allowed to affect me were going to happen anyway whether I was stressed or not. Then with using the sunflowers as a guide these situations actually went easier than I was expecting. It was an amazing lesson that I was creating the stress and making the situation more difficult to manage. We don’t have to worry, stress or be frustrated. These are all choices we make. We can allow life to happen, calling forth our Angels to help us stay on the easiest path and enjoy each day to the fullest by keeping our focus upward. Perhaps there will be a rainbow there that is promising that things will never be like they were again.
May you be blessed with sunflower days,
