Susan Boyle: Let's do that again...

It happens. We get faulty birth information from media sources sometimes. Wikipedia initially posted the October birthday for Susan Boyle, and now they (and others) are reporting 6/15/1961 as the correct day. Astute readers will know that Venus was retrograde when I posted the initial blog, and now it's direct. So glad this is now straightened out.

The October birthday made sense to me, and this is because the June birthday gives us very similar themes. This story has Uranian fingerprints all over it -- the sudden fame, coming from obscurity, being initially ridiculed then embraced and even her unconventional appearance. Instead of having a Libra Sun sextile Uranus in Leo, her Gemini Sun is sextile Uranus from the other side.

Her Gemini Sun is at 24 degrees, which is being directly squared by transiting Uranus (at 24 Pisces) right now. This this a big-time transit to begin with, and made more significant to Susan due to her natal attunement to the revolutionary planet. In addition to Uranus sextile Sun, the Sun is the ruler of her Uranus/North Node/Mars stellium in Leo. Part of her spiritual growth is to learn how to navigate greater visibility (Leo) and she is being thrust right into the spotlight under this transit.

Another difference between the October and June charts is the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction. In June 1961, Jupiter was in Aquarius (not Capricorn) conjunct Saturn in Capricorn. This positions the planet of reward and expansion (Jupiter) with the Uranian sign (Aquarius), so upon Uranian stimulus her Jupiter is awakened. And this Jupiter is paired with Saturn in Capriocrn, which does pertain to mainstream cultural establishments. Transiting Jupiter is now in Aquarius, so Boyle is experiencing a Jupiter return to its home sign.

The "never been kissed" is found astrologically with her exact Venus/Neptune opposition, in the sensual/sexual signs of Taurus/Scorpio. Neptune longs or yearns, and here it's clearly for intimacy. Interestingly, her Jupiter in Aquarius makes this opposition a t-square. I heard a reporter comment that now she is famous, perhaps she'll get that long-awaited smooch. We see the link between her ability to breakthrough (Jupiter in Aquarius) increasing her chances to realize her longings for love (Neptune/Venus).

So, I hope that clears it up a little. I apologize for the mishap, but this is part of the astrology business.  I also noticed that Susan has Mercury retrograde at 10 degrees Cancer. You may find it interesting that this is conjunct my Mercury within 1 degree, and I had to redo a blog on her!
