Greetings and welcome again to Tarot with a Twist!
Last time we covered the Suits in general and introduced the Pentacles, or the security and "stuff" of life. This time it's all about the Swords, which figuratively, literally, and/or linguistically divide, unite, conquer, or otherwise slice up that "stuff" as part and parcel of the relative process of comparing and contrasting.

The Swords represent formulaic institutions, science, legal and matters of truth and advocacy. They best describe a state of decision making and security through cognitive knowledge, hierarchical order and credibility. They are reason, method, accountability, and defense, and refer to legitimacy, documentation, and things that are evidential, eventual, or which can be calculated or enticed.
Swords also correspond with virtue or INALIENABLE RIGHTS, and are revealed and apportioned by natural selection or revolution. They are resolve, principle, and are relative to, or uniquely compatible with Pentacles for measuring and connecting Wands so they can fill Cups.
The Swords are often introduced through conflict and are also embedded in the language of any equation or reading that departs from the point of view of the King, particularly as regards perceived value or vindication by the Queens, as challenged or upheld by the Knights, or pursued relative to the interests and "fair shares" of their Pages.
