Taurus, Taurus Everywhere

Taurus is the sign of security and comfort, the place where we find our soft, cozy slippers, a soothing meal and a nurturing touch.  Basic Taurus asks that we have a job, a comfortable home, land, animals and all the necessary insurance policies. On a deeper or soul level we might be remembering, or frightened of, the hell of scorpionic lives where no one was trustworthy and danger was everywhere. Taurus is the healing balm.

In Taurus we magnetize everything to us while we rest in a lounge chair, our hand on the remote control. We also show up to do the work, patiently and slowly. Some might think Taurus energy is lazy, but there is a method in the madness; a slow, methodical method of attraction, and perhaps a comfort in simplicity.

Going way back to May 28, 2000, we experienced the beginning of a twenty year cycle based on Taurus energy. The conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Taurus signified that our world would both expand our understanding of and structure a new version of Taurus on the planet and in our personal lives. We have moved through the first half of this cycle. We can see how the past ten years have been fraught with issues of money, security and safety.

So it's significant that the New Moon on May 13th, indicating potential for new starts, is at the same position of this twenty year cycle: 23 degrees of Taurus. At the same time, the three week Mercury retrograde cycle that moved into forward direction yesterday is also in Taurus, although a much earlier degree. Still the universal message is unmistakable.

How is Taurus energy in your life? Remember we are holistic. You don't have to be a Taurus to have the bull somewhere in your chart, thus somewhere in your psyche and in your life. And if you are a Taurus, now may be your time to act!

The New Moon affords us the possibility of a new start. This is an ideal time to meditate on Taurus issues and take action to manifest the positive polarities. Do you have enough security, stability and financial structures in place? Are you taking good care of your physical body? Are you grounded enough? (Many have been off the charts ungrounded with electrical nervous system energy screeching through their burnt out chakras.)  Are you avoiding the traps of greed, stubbornness and laziness? Are you in integral alignment with your relationship with animals, the earth and nature?

Taking some time for gentle earthly pursuits in the next few days while you review your relationship with the physical, material, grounded world of Taurus will allow all the spiritual work you're doing to have a deeper container.
