Three Dating Mistakes That Fire signs Make (and how to avoid them)

There's this thing called dating. Two or more people go do something together and try to have a little fun.

Then there's this other thing that's like dating. You hook up with another person but you may or may not end up going anywhere and you slip into some kind of warp-speed time zone together and the connection is so exciting that it spins your head and in the end you don’t even know what to call it.

A lot of times, that happens when you're dating a Fire sign. Do you know who they are? Is it you? Aries, Leo and Sagittarius are the combustible souls of the zodiac who can light up heart fires without striking a match.

These are the passion people, the thrillseekers and givers. And when they love, they love hard.

So here they are, the three most common dating mistakes of Fire signs:

1. Messing with the natural order of relationships. Fire signs tend to mix up the rules courtship, and sometimes this is detrimental. There is a reason that carts do not go before horses -- they won't move down the road right and they will cause traffic accidents.

FIX: Try to do things in the proper sequence, i.e. introduce yourself before kissing.

2. Waking up in Vegas. Vegas and Vegas-esque dens of iniquity are simply too much temptation for wild at heart Fire signs. Not that you shouldn't ever go to Vegas -- of course you should, everybody should. You just shouldn't go unconscious there, putting yourself in a position to "wake up" weird.

FIX: When a Fire sign is going to an over-the-top location, this person should take along a sobering influence -- someone who won't let the Fire sign get too out of control.

3. Making impulsive promises. These range from "I'll call you," to "I do." (By the way, I heard that annulments were invented for Fire signs.) In the moment, Fire signs usually feel that they will absolutely deliver on the words that leave their lips. That's why it's important for Fire signs to remember that other moments and moods are likely to follow the present one.

FIX: Be thoughtful with your commitments. Make few of them and always keep the ones you make. Learn the art of noncommittal language. For instance, you can say "This is so much fun!" instead of saying, "Let's do this again next week."
