Trusting Intuition

Why is it so hard to trust our intuition? Many people believe they are intuitive or even psychic, but having received a definite message or reasonable feel about something, will continue to doubt and wonder, question and double check.

Most of us have developed a powerful inner critic that has bought into the mass cultural believe system that is based on linear, scientific thought. This critic will question our intuitive feelings and even our sanity. Yet even scientific thought  comes to places where science and spirituality begin to merge, where there seems to be a randomness to the movement of particles that indicates choice and consciousness.

When our intuition is correct we often have a sense of words, pictures and feelings and come together with a deep gut feel of rightness. If we are able to stay with that feeling and operate from that truth it is likely we will continue to receive further messages as necessary.

If we have felt sure about something and yet we were proved wrong, the possibilities are:

a) we didn't receive the message accurately, like the spirit says 'it's time to get a dog' and we heard 'it's time to get a rug'
b) we received the message from a spirit who isn't accurate or clear
c) we translated the message incorrectly. The message is 'you'll get that new job in June'. We assume June of this year, sell everything and go on vacation, only to find out ultimately that they meant June of 2013.
d) we interfered in the results. Sometimes we get too much information and aren't emotionally balanced to handle it. We feel intuitively we've met our 'soul mate' (although I don't like that word particularly -- too limiting) and proceed to overwhelm the person with our certainty causing them to pull back in retreat. Or, we might not like the intuitive info we received and work hard to avoid that outcome, or in reverse, we might love the outcome and not do everything we should do to actually bring it about. e) new choices are made; particles respond differently. Ultimately we all have free choice within a generally fated plan. The more evolved we become, the more choice we have.

So, trust you intuition. Relax and listen to it in all of its complexity. And, especially as Uranus is moving into Aries for seven fun-filled years: Be ready for change!
