USA - some smatterings of cheer ahead

The USA is watching anxiously as the EU panics itself into paralysis as the cliff edge grows ever nearer. In comparison the USA situation starts to look not quite as bad as it did before.

Looking ahead for the USA there are certainly some confidence dips next year but also some surprisingly cheerful phases as well. The USA Federal Reserve Bank chart has a bullishly confident tr Pluto conjunct Sun/Jupiter from late February onwards for several months, repeating late in the year. Admittedly that usually successful influence is running side by side from May onwards with a nose-diving tr Neptune square Mars which suggests that certain plans are dissolving into failure. So definite downs but also enough ups to stave off disaster.

The Barack Obama Admin chart is also showing signs of Jupiterian uplift with tr Uranus sextile its’ Jupiter in March and its Solar Arc Jupiter mid year – so the White House will be seeing some better moments. On contrast there’s also the de-stabilising tr Uranus square Pluto in January at the same time as an undermining tr Neptune square Moon so the year won’t get off to a great start – with no signs of constructive co-operation to move the economy ahead. But thereafter there will be enough pluses to makes the minuses bearable.

The USA chart itself has – looking on the bright side – a lucky-break tr Uranus square Jupiter in April and October/November which should provide some relief from the surrounding gloom.

On the down side the US chart has a seriously stuck tr Saturn square Pluto across this Christmas, repeating late March and September 2012. There’s also a jolting, jangling Solar Arc Saturn conjunct Uranus approaching exact over the next three months which may put the damper on reformist ideas – or lead to a clash between the old guard and the more liberally minded. And there is additionally the confused, disorientating Solar Arc Pluto conjunct Neptune which draws ever closer through 2012, though does not hit exact until December. It’ll feel like a meltdown but there are at least some patches of sunshine breaking through the clouds.
