USA unhappy with EU

There’s not much new to say about the EU but just to recap and tie it together for the start of 2012.

 

The EU December 1957 chart has miserly transiting Saturn poised at the moment on the cusp of the financial 2^{nd house and conjunct Jupiter, the latter repeating till autumn 2012 – both of which point to cash shortages with a Secondary Progressed Moon into the 8th staying for two years which suggests intense indecision about financial obligations.}

Through 2012 there’s a tr Neptune opposition Pluto so gradual diminishment of power and control.

 

Where it hits real crunch point is at the end of 2012 with Solar Arc Saturn conjunct the EU financial Venus and tr Saturn in a confused/worried conjunction to the 2nd house Neptune.

 

2013/14 are the nadir years with tr Pluto conjunct the Capricorn Sun and trine 8th house financial Moon – so the days of fudge, smudge and dither will be well and truly gone. Tr Uranus square Sun is giving a huge wake up call at the same time in 2013. By 2014 there’s a panicky-failure tr Neptune square Mars and a shocking Solar Arc Sun square Mars as well.

 

The European Central Bank is limping through 2012 with a muddled, indecisive tr Neptune square Mercury and sextile Saturn Venus. But again it is 2013/14 which are its rock bottom years with tr Neptune square Mars, square Pluto.

 

The only thing of joy I can see is a Solar Arc Pluto conjunct Jupiter in 2013 which normally gives uplift – or an almighty push to get out of trouble, perhaps by putting money into the system – far too late.

 

Of the EU countries Germany looks most disturbed and is wanting to pull away determinedly. The relationship chart has a controlling Pluto opposition Sun at 9/10 Cancer/Capricorn. That’s been battered in all directions by tr Pluto and tr Uranus in 2012/13/14. Frankly I’ll be surprised if Germany stays in. Italy equally looks on the brink of making a leap sideways in 2012/13. The Netherlands looks most unhappy about the EU next year and is definitely stepping back though that could be temporary. France is definitely feeling disappointed in the EU in 2012 and only separating itself out with difficulty in 2013/14. The UK will almost certainly go. So it may be the rump who stays in what remains of the EU rather than them jumping ship.

 

 

 

Hungary may make it first to the winning line in the defaulting stakes. Its' economy is near boiling point with major debt repayments due in February.
The Bank of Hungary chart, 24 May 1924, has the debilitating tr Neptune square Sun from March onwards. Solar Arc Neptune is also heading to oppose Mercury on the focal point of a T Square to a Mars opposition Neptune later this year starting a catastrophic few years as it wends its way round squares to Mars and Neptune till after mid decade.

The Hungary 1989 country chart has the devastating and destructive Solar Arc Mars conjunct Pluto now and for a few months, with an undermining tr Neptune trine Sun along the way and even worse the deprived/hardship tr Pluto conjunct Saturn from mid January (now) on and off till late 2013, followed by the disorientating tr Pluto conjunct Neptune. So basically could not be worse.

 

There seems to be a stall in the deal to allow further funding for Greece without which it faces an immediate risk of an uncontrolled default in March according to PM Papademos. The Bank of Greece chart, 15 Sept 1927, is certainly at its most stressed then with an highly insecure tr Uranus opposition Mars from late Feb into March and a total-confusion tr Neptune square Saturn from late March into April. There's also the longish running panicky-failure Solar Arc Mars trine Neptune in 2012 and the muddled, high anxiety Solar Arc Saturn opposition Neptune late 2012/13. Nothing that looks anything but disastrous.

 

The USA looks highly displeased at the shenanigans right through 2012 to 2015 – so clearly not settling down to old harmonies anytime soon if ever.
