A Valentine's After Taste: Earth Signs

The days just after Valentine's will call for a true celebration of love! Start your evening by expanding your lover's palette with his/her favorite foods and spirits. The 16th will be a day of romance you don't want to miss. EARTH SIGNS

Taurus
Bulls loves beauty, so begin by adorning the table with soft and sensual décor. When it comes to food, Taurus rules most fruits particularly apples, bananas, apricots and cherries. Plan on making a chicken or fish dinner with an apricot-cherry chutney served over a bed of hearty rice. The sweet stuff won't stop there. Taurus loves candy and dessert wine, so pick up a good bottle of Muscat and some chocolate covered cherries. These little treats should be fed in the bedroom! 
 
Virgo
The virgin is health-conscious and a neat-freak, so plan on making an organic dinner for your sweetie in a spic-n-span environment. If you can manage to clean the kitchen before serving the meal, you'll look like a god in the Virgin's eyes. The smell of lemony furniture polish and the aroma of freshly organic food will have your sweetie eating out of your hand later. For dinner, I'd suggest a macrobiotic meal of wild halibut with a spicy pecan crust. Throw an organic Belgian endive salad on the side, some caffeine-free herbal tea, and you're good to go. For dessert, try feeding him or her some organic dark chocolate pieces. 80% and up would be preferred. You could also make your own organic dessert by peeling and freezing organic bananas. Once their frozen, use a hand blender to make an ice cream. Melt the organic chocolate and pour on top for an added hint of fun.
 
Capricorn
Oh, what to serve the goat? That's easy, a goat's cheese salad, of course. Capricorn rules goat's milk, red beets, and balsamic vinegar, which absolutely positively makes the yummiest salad, especially if you add a few candied nuts to the mix. Pair that with a dry wine and your goat will be grazing out of your hand. Keep the décor modern and sleek. Capricorn doesn't like all the frill that Libra loves. Stainless steel or silver candle holders would be the perfect adornment to the table. Don't forget to play footsy under the table. Work your way up to the goat's ruling part- their knees. This will be a meal, Capricorn, never forgets!
