Venus and Saturn are about to smooch one another in Scorpio on September 18, so get ready for a groovy kind of love. Actually, this transit doesn't scream fun but it will certainly weed out or transform relationships that are skating by on thin ice or superficial gloss. As with anything in Scorpio, it's not about how much fun you can have but how deep you can go. Of course, once you get comfortable with that level of intimacy, the rawness of self-expression can be joyous. But growing is never easy. The presence of Saturn so close to Venus also kicks up fears around intimacy and relating at the deepest level; fears around security, including money, could abound as well.
Word in the cosmos is that September is a dynamic and pivotal month. The Virgo New Moon and Virgo Sun kicked us into high gear, encouraging us to square away any mundane loose ends and set up better systems to take care of ourselves. We could see the Venus-Saturn conjunction (exact on September 18) in this vein of self-care. How are you showing up for your values when it comes to relationships and finances? On what and whom have you been blaming your experiences and how can you take accountability? A much closer relationship with ourselves helps us show up in more truthful ways. With a little attention and compassion, we learn our tricks and evasive tactics. And with Venus involved, often our personal blind spots are generously shown to us through another's experience of us -- if we are willing to listen and take it in.
It's funny how caught up we can get in playing versions of ourselves rather than just letting ourselves be who we are. I was reading an astrology book just last night about the sub-personalities we employ as a means of managing conflict. So in each of us, are all these different people. I have my inner 7-year-old and my overzealous team captain. However, as Venus and Saturn approach one another, it's as if we're trying to recognize the feelings and instincts to relate to one another beneath all those roles; to really see each other as souls -- "swimming in a fish bowl, year after year" -- but maybe when we realize we're all made up of the same stuff, we won't feel so lost. This is a time to drop in and just commit to being seen as you are -- which is perfect.
