Since January 23, the warrior planet has been in slow-mo retrograde, causing all signs (especially Aries and Scorpio) to put on the brakes if not take a full-on break from the demands of everyday life.
Mars retrogrades less often than other planets, so the imposed slowdown of our inner vitality and gusto is felt intensely. And since this retrograde was in Virgo (work, health, service), we’ve been pushed to reflect on how we expend our energy in these realms. If we’ve been guilty of recklessly wasting energy, this retrograde was a chance to check ourselves before we did some serious wreckage (that is if it wasn’t already too late).
The good news is that we’re getting the fabulous resurgence of Mars energy (especially Rams and Scorpios) after experiencing four months of frustration, exhaustion and waiting for the green light on certain projects. Look to the area of your horoscope ruled by Mars and then where the majority of your Virgo planets fall to see where you can expect the most acceleration brought on by this forward direction.
In general, it will greatly improve our overall energy levels, health and work. The irony is that we’ll of course lament over how much we miss those slower days of the Mars retrograde, even though most of us probably kicked and screamed our way through all the setbacks. Mars is now revealing strength that we did not even know we had. The major lesson of this Mars retrograde? Spend your energy wisely!
