With the Sun having entered Aquarius in January, the next few weeks have us gravitating towards the unique and original. We’re looking to see how we can make progress in helping other people, dedicating ourselves to the causes that most matter to us. In that process, we get to discover others in our local and global community who share our passions for making the world a better place, joining together to forge new fellowships.

With Aquarius being an air sign, we’re turned on by thoughts and ideas, spending a lot of time in our heads. This, of course, helps us with our Aquarian mental pursuits; yet, it may have some physical well-being consequences if we don’t focus on our bodies as much as we should. For example, it’s easier during Aquarius season to be so wrapped up in thought that we don’t take the time to make a healthy meal or schedule in our exercise routine. Yet physical nourishment is key to mental acuity—let alone overall health—so it’s important to not forget the body for the mind.

As Aquarius relates to the avante-garde as well as energetics, it’s a good time to incorporate vibrational healing into your self-care repertoire. Whether it be reiki, acupuncture, homeopathy, or flower essences, practices and remedies that address the body’s bioenergetics system can do much to help rebalance our circuitry and enlighten our well-being.

Since with all the electrifying energy that circulates during this time we are already buzzing with energy, it may be worthwhile to stem our intake of caffeine. If switching to decaf isn’t in the cards, experiment with different beverages. For example, swap out a cup of coffee for green tea or yerba mate, which provide smoother pick-me-ups plus additional nutrient benefits.
