John Mayer released his new video this week for his single “Half Of My Heart” -- without much fanfare. While he’s used to getting a lot of press, mostly for his TMI tweets and interviews about his love life, he’s been under the radar recently. But it’s been announced that he has a mysterious illness, and as a result, he’s canceled the rest of his European tour. His fans now wonder: What’s really happening?
Blame it on Saturn! As a Libra, John was hosting Saturn (planet of karma) in his First House -- which is his identity sector -- since late October 2009 to early April 2010, and it was then that he got himself into trouble by being too candid about his sex life in the press and on Twitter. Saturn is currently retrograding back into Virgo, meaning it’s in John’s Twelfth House, which rules these things: one’s past, one’s legacy and hospitals. This transit is helping him keep quiet and refocus on what made him famous -- music. But Saturn’s also striking a delicate place in his chart, so he’s got to learn to take it easy. Luckily, Saturn moves out of his Twelfth House at the end of July, right when his U.S. tour starts. And he if focuses on singing (not speaking!), he’ll get his career, health and reputation back on track.
