Which Star Are You? Venus Evening Star People

No, I’m not asking you whether you’re a morning person or whether you burn the midnight oil. Each of us has a Venus sign, and Venus is also in a ‘house’ of our birth chart. But did you know you also have a Venus ‘type’ and your type can tell you as much about how you evaluate your life-experiences, your relationship style and emotional temperament? 

First, let’s set the foundation. Every 584 days Venus retrograde meets the Sun, beginning a new Venus cycle, and then halfway through this cycle, 242 days later she meets the Sun again in a superior conjunction when Venus has reached her maximum speed (right now, we are at the very beginning of the morning star cycle). So which one are you? It’s easy to identify whether you’re a Morning Star or Evening Star person.  Look at your birth chart; if Venus is clockwise from the Sun, you are a Morning Star person and if Venus is counterclockwise from your Sun, you are an Evening Star person. But what if you were born during Venus retrograde? Retrograde plays an important role in the overall Venus cycle (she is retrograde 41 days out of the 584), so there are Venus retrograde subtypes for both.  

Those born during Venus Evening Star were born during the “full moon phase” of the Venus cycle are inclined to reflect before acting. Instead of letting their feelings guide them (as Morning Star people would), all the world’s a stage for their emotions and perceptions. This Venus type tends to internally process their emotional experience, over and over. Since they internalize emotions before acting on them (like Morning Star people) when suppressed feelings finally erupt onto friends and loved ones, their complaint can come as a big surprise! However, the preceding Venus cycle has given them perspective and patience, tempering them. And their big emotions and passions lend to big ideas - which they bring to society at large.

Those born during Venus Evening Star Retrograde are wise originals. These people have internalized the entire Venus cycle and have fully integrated a radical way of perceiving the world into their being. It is important for them to share their unique perceptions but not just personal artistic and creative expressions -they need to participate in a collective effort, in social movements that change all society. Passionate and creative in the world at large and in their relationships, retrograde Evening Star people are capable of contributing in lasting and meaningful ways.
