Why Did Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy Split?

Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy have called it quits after five years together. This is news nobody expected, as the two often seemed bonded for life -- and just this past Valentine’s Day, Jenny gave a “J (heart) J” skywriting message to her sweetheart. Why did this break-up happen?

With Jenny’s Sun in Scorpio and Jim’s Rising Sign (which rules public persona) also in Scorpio, their Twitter alerts will be the only information they will likely reveal about their break-up -- after all, Scorpio is the sign of privacy. However, looking at matters astrologically, it could be that a few testy aspects are to blame, such as their Moon and Mars squaring (clashing); these are rulers of their emotions and drive, and are key players in a relationship.

Jenny’s Moon is in Virgo and her Mars is in Libra, while Jim’s Moon is in Gemini and Mars is in Capricorn. This denotes a bond -- but one in which things are slightly askew, as in Jenny is a more detailed person, while Jim is more of a spontaneous thinker. In life, they’re both highly ambitious, but Jenny is better at being congenial. Friendship and respect will remain, but both are loners at heart and that’s, ultimately, probably why they couldn’t make their romance last.
