Wild Weekend: Springtime, a Full Moon and ... International Astrology Day!

What's happening this weekend? Many exciting things. The first day of spring -- the beginning of the Vernal Equinox -- coincides with the Sun moving into Aries on Sunday, March 20.

Happy Birthday Aries! Red and aggressive Mars energy is upon us and the time is now! If you have been putting off those great ideas you've been pondering all winter, make use of this confident, high energy and implement them. This is an excellent opportunity to finally paint that wall a nicer shade or start that new exercise regimen.

Sunday is also International Astrology Day. How are you going to celebrate? I'm going to wear my new red high heels! More importantly, let's discuss the full Moon in Virgo, the sign of health, routine and service, happening on Saturday. Full Moon occurrences always intrigue me. Some people discount the full Moon's affect on Earth, but I always proceed with caution. You never know what is going to happen. With all the surroundings unusually illuminated by the bright moonlight, the landscape is certain to change in mysterious ways. Everything at night is suddenly awakened and intensified.

This full Moon will be the closest and brightest full Moon of the year, which is called a Super Moon or a lunar perigee. What a beautiful and magical spectacle this will be. Occurring at 28 degrees and 48 minutes of Virgo and Pisces, this full Moon will affect the signs Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces, Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn most considerably.

All full Moons are symbolic of the expectant Mother Goddess. She is full with her baby and ready to give birth to new life, new energy. A Virgo full Moon is the time for dream work. Use this time to support your big thoughts and ideas with solid footings. Have a wedding on the horizon? Start writing out that action plan and clearing out your closets.

While it will be beautifully illuminating, this full Moon is going to rattle nerves. Things will be unstable and swift leading up to it. Uranus will be targeting this full Moon, so be prepared to feel stress, anxiety and difficulty getting into the groove. I already pulled a muscle this week lifting up my laundry basket. What was the hurry I ask myself now? This was hardly convenient.

I even read on a friend's Facebook status of how she was growing despondent while attempting to master the hula hoop. Come on now -- it's a hula hoop! Lay low, my friends, and go with the flow. With emotions running high all around, don't add to it with disagreement or resistance. Do your best to side with your enemies and seek a common ground if you can. Otherwise your exchanges will be as thorny as a thistle.

The motto for this full Moon: Don't push it. Be patient with your tasks and people around you. With spring's arrival right around the corner, the flowers will be blooming and the birds will be chirping soon enough. Positive newness will abound!
