At his recent State of the Union address, President Obama once again made lofty speeches, but will he ever develop the fighting spirit to actually stand up for his ideals?
As a Leo, Barack Obama has had idealistic Neptune transitting his solar house of open enemies. Neptune wants to fight for peace and harmony, even if it weakens one's position. Obama has often seemed to be more concerned about winning over those opposed to him and catering to their needs, rather than carrying through with the changes that were promised to those who supported him.
Obama also has Aquarius rising, so he has been undergoing a double whammy during Neptune's transit of this sign through his identity sector. Obama himself may have got himself so lost in his dreams and visions that he lost touch with reality. His ability to give inspiring speeches which evaporate into thin air immediately after he gives them, without doing the actual dirty work of struggling and brawling for one's visions, is also indicated by this transit. Neptune in this house also has the ability to make one swing between feeling either weak and incapable as well as delusional and overly idealistic.
Neptune finally moves out of each of these sectors of Obama's chart on February 3rd, and Obama's era of conciliatory confusion may finally come to an end. Neptune will be moving into Obama's house of self-esteem, and the President will not only achieve a deeper clarity of vision but also a boost to his self-confidence. Instead of focussing all his resources on others, he will finally learn to use his energy for his own goals, and, at the same time win, people over to his side in the process.
A second term may produce much more favorable results than the first one.
