World's Richest

Mexican-Lebanese banking and telecoms entrepreneur Carlos Slim has been named as the world’s richest man in the latest Forbes survey. He was born on 28 January 1940, which puts his Sun in Aquarius in a determined opposition to Pluto, and sextile a lucky, confident, go ahead Jupiter in Aries.

His Sun is widely square innovative, experimental Uranus. And he has a disciplined, self reliant Mars Saturn conjunction in Aries. He is a man who does things his way and relies on his own judgement. Looking down the list of the top ten billionaires two are Scorpio, two are Pisces, two Aries and the others are Gemini, Leo, Virgo and Aquarius. So there is a fair spread amongst the Sun signs.

Scorpio makes sense since they are highly determined. Pisces oddly enough make excellent businessmen since they are visionaries though they usually need some practical back up to get everything pulled together. Aries are competitive and definitely like to win. What is also noticeable from the top ten list is that more than half have Mars, planet of dynamic action, in a Cardinal sign in their chart (Aries, Cancer, Libra). Cardinal energy has initiative so clearly they are good at kick starting new projects. Four out of the ten also have Jupiter in a Fire sign (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius). Jupiter is luck and confidence and the Fire energy is very inspirational. Seven out of the top ten have strong Sun Pluto aspects which gives them that relentless sense of pushing on to gain control. Four have Sun Uranus aspects giving them the knack of thinking out of the box and not walking with the common herd.
