SHUI ADVICE
Since everyone knows that February and love go hand in hand, here then are four Feng Shui ways to light up your love life this month!
First, you'll need to locate and delineate the "Relationship and Romance" area of your home -- it's in the back right corner of the main floor or any other room.
Now, in order to find your perfect partner or even energize an existing relationship, you'll want to incorporate one (or more) of the following suggestions:
- Place a pair of red Chinese lanterns in this area;
- Include a pair of red and yellow candles in this same space;
- Place a pair of clear quartz crystals here;
- Position an image of the "Mystic Knot" here, as it attracts lovers. (For more on this, see this month's Travel tip, below.)
Employing any or all of these Feng Shui cures is believed to work so quickly that you'll be finding true love in no time!
SHUI FASHION
Red may well be the traditional color most associated with Valentine's Day and love, but Feng Shui says that if you're going to wear your heart on your sleeve -- or try attracting another one -- this month, then wear pink!
Since pink is considered soft and nurturing, it's believed that its aura inspires powerful heart connections. It's also considered the calming version of sexy, sultry red, so wearing a combination of these colors could make things quite interesting ... at least as far as your love life is concerned. (If things go particularly well, though, there are no guarantees on how long your clothes of those colors will stay on your body!)
Happy Valentine's Day!
SHUI HEALTH
Feng Shui dictates that you should avoid using alarm clocks or clock radios with red numbers. Why? Red numbers are said to emanate unhealthy Sha Chi that can -- and likely will -- disturb your ever-crucial sleep patterns. Instead, look for clocks with white or green numbers, as these colors radiate positive, warmer energies.
Our time's now up ... and that's the direction your mood and spirit will go if you awake more rested every day!
SHUI RECIPE
In the romantic spirit of Valentine's Day, how about a different kind of recipe that will make everyone's mouth water at the sight of you?
Using a needle, poke a red apple full of holes, visualizing your beloved all the while. Then, dress the apple with honey and sprinkle it with cinnamon; follow this by surrounding it with red, burning candles.
When the candles have burned all the way down, incorporate this apple into a cake, pastry, or pie. Finally, the best part of this ritual: eat it!
Legend says that, if you follow these simple steps, you will become irresistible. It may sound hard to swallow, but the lore surrounding this recipe indicates that it really does work!
SHUI TRAVEL
Since the overriding themes of this month's Feng Shui advice are romance and love, I thought I would kill two lovebirds (so to speak) with one travel tip!
If you're traveling this month -- or any other month, for that matter -- you should always tote along an image of the "Mystic Knot." This symbol is said to keep you safe and protected while away from home; it'll also help you avoid any bumps and bruises along the way.
Simply download and print a copy of the image, then keep it in your wallet. While you're in transit, take it out and run your power hand -- the one with which you write -- over the top of it three times in a clockwise direction. It's a GPS for the soul!
Later, once you reach your destination and want to be led in all the right directions, place the image in the "Relationship and Romance" area (the back right corner) of your room away from home.
Good times! And safe travels!
SHUI RANDOM
And now, some helpful wisdom from my Feng Shui fertility files!
If you're looking to start (or expand) your family, did you know that by sleeping on light green sheets and placing a pair of elephant statues on the floor near your open bedroom door, you can summon fertility's fortune? You may even experience some bonus luck if you rub those elephant statues' heads on a regular basis!
What's more, if you display seven photos of kids in their own metal frame in the children/creativity area of your bedroom -- that's near the center of your bedroom's right-side wall -- you're even more likely to get your baby wish nine months down the line!
