As we open up to higher and higher frequencies of spiritual and psychic potential on this planet, there can be a stress on the nervous system. I've written about this before, but a reminder can't hurt because when we're stressed we generally forget what we're supposed to do about it, even if we know. It's been an issue for many people in my private readings this past week. I suspect this is due to our current strong influence of Uranus and Jupiter in Pisces indicating, among other effects, a radical portal opening to higher consciousness.
If you feel stressed, anxious, shaky, forgetful or have a buzzing feeling in your head along with a sense of knowing more psychically or telepathically, you may be experiencing some nervous system stress. If these feelings persist or are very strong, of course you would want to check your medical condition with a professional. But if it is a new or subtle feeling, you might try these healing tools.
The baking soda bath is my favorite, and I use it regularly as part of my personal health care plan. A cup or so of baking soda with some drops of natural lavender essential oil will create an alkalinizing bath that seems to absorb and diminish psychic energies from one's aura. I usually put a tsp of coconut oil in the bath too as it is healing for the skin.
It's helpful to lie down in the bath so that the top of your head is in the water, your face exposed for breathing. This allows the soothing properties of the water to wash over your skull where the energy often feels most stuck. Take deep slow, meditative breaths to add to the relaxation. As you breathe, imagine the energy in and above your head is moving downward through your body, circulating in the arms and legs and to the edge of the skin in every part of you.
If you are flexible you might also try putting your legs up the bathtub wall in the yoga position called Viparita Karani. You'll find the water then supports your spine quite nicely for added relaxation.
If you don't like baths or don't have a bathtub, take a meditation shower, visualizing the shower water to be soft blue or turquoise and imagine it washing the stress energy from your system as the water gently bathes your head.
Drinking lots of extra water when feeling a stressed, hot nervous system is also beneficial. Acupuncture balances the entire system and is generally relaxing to the energetic field. Massage, physical exercise and being outside in nature are also fantastic ways to ground the spiritual energies more deeply.
We are blessed to have the ability to connect more and more deeply with our psychic and spiritual natures at this time, yet we need to remember that it is a radical change and our human bodies need tune-ups to adjust to the frequency. The goal is to be open, connected to spirit in the moment, intuitively in the flow and yet relaxed. A clear psychic nervous system will allow this balance.
