April 29: The moon enters Leo
The moon is trine Neptune at 12:12 a.m.
The deeply emotive Cancer moon forms a water trine with Neptune in Pisces just after midnight, setting a soulful meditative mood. Opportunities to tap into universal currents through feeling states, and dream symbolism, are potentially very active tonight. This water trine heightens the receptive, intuitive states of awareness, and may include deep sleep and regeneration that can be felt on a soul level. It may be hard to wake up today, or to feel active and productive. We may feel like we are under a moody cloud, where our clarity dissolves, and our thoughts drift off on imaginal tangents.
The moon is opposite both Pluto at 9:01 a.m., and Jupiter at 12:29 p.m.
At the start of the day, the potent lunar forces represented by the moon in Cancer form an opposition with Pluto in Capricorn. It could be that the deeply restorative, imaginative, and intuitive energetics of the night have yielded some previously hidden soul level insight, that we have a new emotional courage to face head-on.
We may have a sense that something that has eluded us has broken through, and we were able to access what was previously inaccessible. The moon continues to shift on its course to form an opposition with Jupiter, also in pragmatic Capricorn, and the insight of the morning may be activated by a sense that our new awareness may be leading to a gradual expansion of new opportunities this year.
The moon enters Leo at 6:06 p.m., and is opposite Saturn at 9:27 p.m.
Just after dinner, the lunar mood heats up and turns outward as the moon enters bold and passionate Leo. After a few days of insular, nurturing lunar energy, we may be feeling like breaking out with new inspiration and activity, as much as we are able to right now. Shortly after the moons shift into the sign of the proud, regal Lion, it forms an opposition with Saturn in Aquarius. Saturn is testing us all to restructure our social systems and agreements, and it could be that this fiery lunar mood is actively confronting the limitations that have been imposed on us all. The challenge now is to find ways to be creative and feel free, in spite of the boundaries that are put on our usual outlets to express these important, vitalizing human needs.
