August 26: Too Much, or Too Little?

August 26: Too Much, or Too Little?

The moon is square Mercury at 2:47 a.m.

In the very early hours, the moon in enthusiastic Sagittarius forms an edgy square aspect with Mercury in attentive Virgo. It’s a fleeting aspect, since the moon moves quickly, but it may add a dash of emotional friction to the beginning of the day. Fiery Sagittarius loves to expand and see the whole picture and tends to carry a restless vibe, where Virgo likes to sort, organize, and focus on detail.

The bold, emotional expressions of the moment may be difficult to channel into words now, so we may feel impatient when trying to get our point across. This square may indicate that our communications come out in erratic bursts, and we may wrestle with saying too much, or too little. The trick is finding the right mix so that our conversations can flow. Listening, rather than rushing to speak, will be a good default now.

The moon is square Neptune at 4:43 p.m.

The day goes by rather quietly until the late afternoon when the moon in adventurous Sagittarius forms a square with Neptune retrograde in meditative Pisces. This aspect is known for being a bit disorienting, adding a nebulous and illusory quality to our emotional states. The moon in Sagittarius represents the mood of the moment that can be fiery, restless, and a bit impulsive. Neptune in Pisces represents the collective dreamscape, that when we connect to it tends to wrap us up in the fog of dreams, idealism, and escapism. Both Sagittarius and Pisces are ruled by expansive Jupiter, which as a planet, can at times blow our perceptions out of proportion. This aspect is sure to produce daydreaming, fantasies, and big ideas that feel more real than reality. It’s a beautiful place to visit for a while, but it’s good to be aware of this cosmic mirage today so we don’t get too lost in confusion.
