August 30: Messages From the Muse

Venus is opposite Pluto at 6:31 a.m.

The moon is sextile Chiron at 9:27 a.m.

Mercury is opposite Neptune at 11:44 a.m.

Sunday begins with an opposition between Venus in caring Cancer and Pluto in resolute Capricorn. Pluto rules over hidden truths and shadowy power dynamics, so we may see these themes may rise to the surface in our love relationships. Some of us may be realizing that there is an unbalanced power distribution in our committed unions and seek a way to recalibrate these if possible. We may ask ourselves: Am I afraid to lose my power if I surrender to love? This opposition may also host romantic connections with mysterious Plutonian people that cross our path this week.

Later in the morning, the moon in Aquarius forms a supportive sextile with Chiron in Aries. This aspect brings emotional awareness into phase with our inner wounds, and the Aquarian moon may bring an inventive or unorthodox perspective to our healing journey. We may explore radical, alternative therapy modalities that get to the root of our patterns with unconventional means. The moon in Aquarius may also help us be more objective when reviewing past hurts so that we can explore our stories without being overwhelmed by old pain.

Just before noon, Mercury in orderly Virgo forms an opposition with Neptune in nebulous Pisces. This polarity between the planet of communications and the planet of transcendence may help us tap into universal perspectives when expressing ourselves. Mercury in Virgo, adds form and structure to universal concepts, drawing inspiration down from our dream world and into practical use. This opposition could be a great opportunity to begin a regular meditation or spiritual practice. This polarizing aspect may take form as messages from our muses, who deliver flashes of inspiration and creativity. We realize we are living channels to the mysteries of life, in all of our expressions.

The moon is square Uranus at 1:31 p.m.

A few hours later, the Aquarian moon forms an electric square aspect with Uranus in rooted Taurus. This challenging and catalyzing aspect adds an unpredictable edge to the latter part of the day. Emotions may be expressed and experienced in a somewhat volatile, or fractured way, that could be disorienting and even frustrating. This aspect could also stimulate radical new perspectives that feed our creativity. Still, this energy could also feel a bit exhausting if we are tired of rolling with this year’s sudden changes.
