August 7: Adapting to Circumstances
The moon is sextile Saturn Rx at 12:53 a.m.
The moon is square Venus at 5:53 a.m., and moon void of course begins
The moon enters Aries at 6:05 a.m., and moon void of course ends
Venus enters Cancer at 8:21 a.m.
In the first hour of the morning, the Piscean moon forms a sextile with stern Saturn in Capricorn. This aspect occurs while most of us may be sleeping, yet represents a turning point where the meditative emotions of the moment flow in harmony with this year’s challenges and limitations. We can flow like water around blockages and restrictions, as we feel as a way to adapt to our circumstances.
Then, the morning opens with a square aspect between the moon in mystic Pisces and Venus in curious Gemini. Square aspects are usually challenging, but the square between the moon and Venus may simply inspire an urge to enjoy life’s pleasures, and revel in little luxuries.
Luxury may take many forms and can be as simple as staying in bed a little longer, or a little more honey in our morning tea. It can also take form in exploring our creativity, expressing big emotions, or just making it easier for ourselves today. At this point, the moon void of course begins, and ends almost as soon as it began as the moon moves into assertive Aries a few minutes later. The lunar mood heats up and becomes more active over the next two and a half days.
Soon after, Venus leaves Gemini after a four-month stay in the twin’s sign to enter sensitive and nurturing Cancer. The sign of the Crab is a lovely, healing place for Venus to reside, connecting us to our hearts as we deepen intimacy in our love connections and creative expressions. We can enjoy Venus’ passage through Cancer until September 6.
The moon is trine Mercury at 5:12 p.m.
The rest of the day goes by rather quietly until an early evening trine between the moon in bold Aries and Mercury in proud Leo. This stimulating and supportive fire trine opens the lines of communication and emotional connection positively and in an inspiring way. We may feel confident expressing how we feel, with passion and a flair for the dramatic.
