Coming Soon: New Moon in Libra

WIDE OPEN SPACES

This is an interesting moment in time.

Today is about preparation. It is about creating space. We’ve got a waning quarter moon in Libra with a Libra new moon coming this Saturday. As the latter lunation is an ideal moment to sort through our relationships of all kinds, let’s allow some space between today’s mediation and the new moon itself. that way, we can kick off that new cycle with a clean slate relationship-wise.

Find a quiet space and make yourself comfortable. Take one slow, deep breath to reconnect to your own magic. Then dive all the way into this vision and see what happens.

Breathe deep and see yourself as a hawk, eagle or some other high-flying bird flying very high up into the sky. The sky is immense, fresh and the higher you fly, the freer you start to feel.

Feel how perfectly your feathers are designed to propel you through the air. Feel how strong your wings are, perfectly made for flight. Feel how good it feels to fly, the higher you go, the lighter you are; everything unnecessary starts to fall away.

Begin to notice all the things you are flying over. It may be a natural scene: mountains, a river, canyon, ocean, forest, desert or meadow. Or it may be a suburban or urban scene, a city, or a village. Just have fun and see what you can see from your elevated vantage point.

Now land on some high perch, the top of a tree, a mountain peak or skyscraper—and let yourself rest and get a bird’s eye view of things. Feel the whole rest of your life stretched out in front of you. See things in the landscape below that you are ready to fly away from. Let yourself contemplate the future and all that you are now ready to draw into your life.

Play with the notion that you do not have to do it all by yourself, that powerful forces are working on your behalf, just as a bird can rely on the power of the air to keep him aloft. Take a moment to assemble and cement your new worldview.
