July 21: Fire and Friction

The moon is trine Chiron Rx at 5:35 a.m.

The moon is square Uranus at 7:22 a.m.

Mercury is square Chiron Rx at 8:51 a.m.

At sunrise on Tuesday, the moon in proud Leo forms a potent fire trine with Chiron in individualistic Aries. This aspect opens a portal to the parts of ourselves that need love and healing the most. There is an opportunity here to face our deepest wounds with certainty and confidence this morning. We may also channel healing insights into exploring forms of creative visualization. These inspired visualizations may prompt unexpected breakthroughs as the moon in Leo shifts into a catalyzing square with radical Uranus. We may encounter some surprises or sudden, seemingly random emotional outbursts from others or from within ourselves.

The fire and friction of the morning may stimulate a need for emotional catharsis, as Mercury in sensitive Cancer forms a challenging square with Chiron in Aries. This square is an echo back to earlier in the morning, where the mood of the moment felt tuned into the healing of ongoing wounds, yet putting this all into words may prove a bit difficult now. The rest of the morning may host some hard and frustrating conversations, where feelings are raw, but no one feels understood.

The moon is trine Mars at 12:32 p.m.

The moon is sextile Venus at 5:27 p.m., and moon void of course begins

In the early afternoon, the waxing moon in magnanimous Leo forms another potent fire trine, this time with Mars in impulsive Aries. This aspect adds to the heat and intensity of today’s catharsis, and these fiery currents of feeling begin to flow unobstructed again. It could be that after some emotional challenges, and necessary venting, we feel relief and a renewed sense of courage. The activity for the rest of the afternoon will be lively, inspired, and spontaneous. We have a few hours now to make good use of this positive energy, by directing it toward creative projects before the moon goes void of course again.

By the early evening, a sense of love, goodwill, and even romance take over as the expressive Leo moon forms a harmonious sextile with Venus in playful Gemini. This sextile is the last aspect the moon will make before changing signs tomorrow, so it’s a good time to put our work away and leave the stress of the day behind. We are on the cusp of Leo season, and the currents of change are palpable and exciting.
