July 26: Sorting Out Our Affairs

The moon is trine Venus at 3:45 a.m.

The moon is square Jupiter Rx at 5:41 a.m.

The moon is square Pluto Rx at 10:21 a.m.

Early morning, the moon in peaceable Libra forms a powerful air trine with Venus in curious Gemini. This aspect is likely the balm for last night’s frustrations and will go a long way to smooth out differences. A sweet, loving mood is in the air, permeating the early morning hours with ease and playfulness. There is an opportunity to reset intentions and enter the new day with clarity and sincere, humble apologies, if needed.

After sunrise, the moon moves on to form challenging squares with Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn. These aspects bring our intimate emotional awareness into an edgy connection with some of the more sobering themes of 2020. The moon in Libra represents an impulse to keep things light and maintain peace. Yet, these squares bring up uncomfortable reminders of our duties and responsibilities, and how much has irreversibly changed.

We may spend the morning sorting out our affairs and facing reality with the moon/Jupiter square amplifying emotions, while the moon/Pluto square brings dark or troubling feelings up to the surface. By the late morning, this heavy passage will fade, and while it’s very likely nothing in particular will happen, it’s not a very comfortable feeling while it lasts.

The moon is square Saturn Rx at 6:09 p.m., and moon void of course begins

The moon enters Scorpio at 9:12 p.m., and moon void of course ends

By the early evening, the moon in airy Libra forms another square aspect, this time with Saturn in authoritative Capricorn. It’s at this point when the moon void of course begins, which is probably a good thing, as most of the day has likely been tiring and sobering. Work and productivity can rest for the evening, as we may feel the need to withdraw and reflect.

A few hours later, this insular mood is intensified by the waxing moon’s passage into dark and mysterious Scorpio. This passage is into the sign of the moon’s “fall,” meaning emotions and intuition tend to be so deep and powerful in Scorpio that it is easy to fall into them and feel overwhelmed. The moon in Scorpio can also be a soulful, visionary time. It can be a unique opportunity to turn to our divination practices to help find meaning and clarity in the shadows.
