June 21: Deep Wounds and Old Patterns
The moon is square Chiron at 4:07 p.m.
The moon is sextile Uranus at 4:35 p.m.
After what may have been a cathartic and purifying solstice for many of us, this morning’s moon/Chiron square may symbolize all that we are currently sitting with emotionally. Deep wounds and old patterns may have come back up to the surface, and many of us may be feeling a somewhat depleted and perhaps overwhelmed.
The moon in nurturing Cancer encourages us to keep letting the cleansing tears flow so that we can embody and heal buried pain. As the morning continues, the powerful Cancer moon forms a sextile aspect with Uranus in abundant Taurus, bringing sudden emotional breakthroughs and insight.
The rest of the day is not very cosmically active, which is a blessing, as it allows us time and space to process all that has come up in the past couple of days. The moon is still dark, so our energies will likely be feeling low, and with the moon in protective Cancer, it’s an excellent time to retreat, reflect, and restore ourselves.
The moon is conjunct Mercury at 1:01 a.m.
Just after midnight, the moon forms a conjunction with Mercury retrograde in Cancer, highlighting an opportunity for healing and therapeutic conversations to occur. Though this aspect happens overnight, when many of us are sleeping, it represents a turning point that we may become aware of as the new day begins. Since Mercury is retrograde, we may have an opportunity to revisit an emotional conversation today to tie up loose ends.
Mercury gives a voice to what we are feeling now, personally and collectively, and many of us are feeling called to seek emotional support or to be emotionally supportive to others. It’s a time for everyone to put healing, nutrition, and compassion back at the center of our awareness, and to focus our thoughts and communications on facilitating various forms of help and care.
All the aspects mentioned are calculated in Standard Pacific Time, for greater accuracy please adjust to your own location.
