June 27: The Psyche and Hidden Truths
The moon is trine Pluto at 3:24 a.m.
The moon is trine Jupiter at 3:51 a.m.
Early morning, the moon in efficient Virgo forms an earth trine aspect with both Pluto and Jupiter in Capricorn. Pluto and Jupiter are almost perfectly conjunct, and the connections these planets make with the moon are somewhat blended together.
The moon’s earth trine with Pluto has the effect of tapping our emotional awareness into the psyche, and its hidden truths. The moon’s earth trine with Jupiter has the effect of amplifying emotional states and expressions positively and optimistically. These combined effects could be in light of soul growth and insights, and we can now tap into a sense of stable, sustainable growth. We may feel like we are working constructively with our material resources and can follow new opportunities.
The moon is opposite Mars at 1:02 p.m., and moon void of course begins
The moon enters Libra at 1:16 p.m., and moon void of course ends
The moon is trine Saturn at 1:44 p.m.
Shortly after noon, the moon forms an opposition with Mars in Pisces. This aspect is somewhat confrontational and polarizing, possibly coinciding with arguments or standoffs. The moon void of course also begins, creating a short but unproductive window this afternoon. It may be for the best, since the effects of the moon/Mars opposition may have many people feeling irrational, frustrated, and impulsive.
Shortly after, the moon shifts into diplomatic Libra, and the lunar mood becomes lighter and more social. Tensions may begin to ease and lift, and with spirits a little calmer, it may be a better time to start new projects now with a clearer head. For the next two and a half days, the lunar energies will be more outwardly focused on social activity, and exploring the world around us as much as we can.
Soon after, the moon forms an air trine with Saturn in Aquarius, helping to steady and anchor our thoughts and conversations. The later afternoon has a brighter, more detached mood, when we may find ourselves more able to be objective for a while.
Mars enters Aries at 6:45 p.m.
The moon is trine Venus at 10:34 p.m.
In the early evening, one of the more epic and momentous planetary shifts occurs, and that is Mars’ move out of insular Pisces and into bold and impulsive Aries. Aries is one of Mars’ two potent home signs, and in Aries, Mars can be as individualistic and confrontational as it likes to be.
Mars will be in Aries until early next year, making the last half of 2020 a very potent and active time for everyone. It coincides with a time of hard work and economic rebuilding and may also symbolize a time of debate as the world wrestles with how to get our civilization functioning normally again. For many of us, this is an opportunity to tap into drive and momentum, with much to do. The rest of 2020 may feel like it moves very quickly from today on.
Late night, the moon in peaceable Libra forms an air trine with Venus is playful Gemini, adding a sweet, social, and romantic late-night mood.
The moon is square the sun at 1:16 a.m.
Overnight, the moon in airy Libra forms a square aspect with the sun in nurturing Cancer, marking the passage into the second lunar quarter. This phase is a very active and catalytic time, leading up to the full moon on July 4, when many of us may feel like we are kicking into high gear with our plans and intentions now.
All the aspects mentioned are calculated in Standard Pacific Time, for greater accuracy please adjust to your own location.
