June 5: Healing and Therapeutic Conversations
Mercury is sextile Uranus at 4:05 a.m.
Mercury is square Chiron at 6:40 a.m.
The moon is opposite Venus at 6:57 a.m.
In the early morning, Mercury in emotive Cancer forms a supportive sextile aspect with Uranus in earthy Taurus. This sextile may set the stage for a morning of innovative discovery and conversations with new, radical people. Today, we explore inventive thoughts and ideas in our various discussions, when a new way to approach an old problem may appear.
This morning holds breakthroughs in our work projects, and since this aspect involves Mercury, it could even inspire writing. We may, in general, feel encouraged to express ourselves in unique ways, especially as Mercury forms a stimulating trine with Chiron in Aries, catalyzing healing and therapeutic conversations.
As the morning continues, the moon in enthusiastic Sagittarius forms an opposition with Venus in Gemini. Amplifying desires, extravagance, and indulgence, this aspect may have an amplifying effect on the mood of the moment, making us yearn for an intense emotional connection with another person.
A full moon/lunar eclipse at 12:12 p.m.
The moon is square Mars at 12:44 p.m.
Shortly after noon, the moon becomes full in fiery Sagittarius. As this polarity between the sun and moon becomes exact, the moon crosses into the shadow of the earth, forming what is called the penumbral eclipse. This eclipse happens when the moon comes close to the lunar south node, which is said to have a diminishing effect on lunar energies.
It’s a strange feeling at a time of the boldest lunar forces, coming under the shroud of the eclipse. We may need to let go of an emotional attachment today that is holding us back and clouding our judgement. As the moon forms a square with Mars in Pisces shortly after the eclipse, this activity may cause some angst and tension. We may feel more irritable, and the square aspect may stimulate some quarrels as we navigate our essential choices and set firm, psychic boundaries.
The moon is square Neptune at 9:10 p.m., and moon void of course begins
As night falls, the Sagittarian moon forms a square aspect with Neptune in Pisces. This tense angle may set an illusory, dreamy mood for the evening, which will make it very hard to focus or think clearly. We may feel tempted to escape reality, after the potent aspects of the day take effect. However, this escape may not matter much since the moon is void of course until tomorrow afternoon, so it’s not a time to be constructive anyway.
All the aspects mentioned are calculated in Standard Pacific Time, for greater accuracy please adjust to your own location.
