March 3: Venus is square Saturn
HARD FEELINGS, AND RECONCILIATIONS
Venus is square Saturn at 8:44 a.m.
Hard feelings and heartaches may become amplified today as Venus, the planet of love and connection, comes into a hard square aspect with unforgiving Saturn this morning. Venus is in impulsive, fiery, individualistic Aries now, intensifying our need for spontaneity and independence, clashing with Saturn in solid, commitment focused Capricorn, who is testing us to be dependable and reliable. When Venus is in Aries, in the sign contrary to her home, she kicks up Mars-type passions and reactions, which may put a strain on our relationships and have us asking hard questions about the boundaries we find ourselves contained in. Rebellion of the heart may try to prevail over reliability, and only time will tell if this is in our best interest.
The moon is sextile Venus at 6:20 p.m.
The lively Gemini moon is in sextile aspect with Venus in Aries today, creating a supportive mingling of air and fire producing a spontaneous mood for the early evening. It’s an opportunity for bold, playful conversations, sociability, and creativity. The moon nurtures and renews, Venus joins and connects, and together, they invite us into romantic scenarios where we may feel ready to speak our hearts, while feeling light, optimistic, and free.
The moon enters Cancer at 8:25 p.m., and is trine Mercury Rx at 8:44 p.m.
Later tonight, the moon crosses over into sensitive and protective Cancer, shifting the lunar mood back into one more insular and receptive. The moon is in her home sign of Cancer for the next two days, powerfully heightening emotions and even defensiveness if we are feeling overworked, misunderstood, and vulnerable. There will be a strong need for many of us to take rest, to be more receptive, and to move at a slower pace. Shortly after, the potent moon comes into a perfect trine with Mercury in soulful Pisces, adding a caring, compassionate tone to our late-night conversations and thoughts.
