May 10: Honing Perceptions and Directing Energy

May 10: Honing Perceptions and Directing Energy

Moon is conjunct the south node at 2:00 a.m.

Moon enters Capricorn at 2:39 a.m., and moon void of course ends

Mercury is trine Jupiter at 7:36 a.m.

Sun is sextile Neptune at 9:16 a.m.

In the very early morning, the moon at 29 degrees Sagittarius joins the lunar south node. This has a somewhat diminishing, draining effect on lunar energies, and though it is not an eclipse, it highlights the sign where the next lunar eclipse will occur. A seed may be planted today that will take a more potent form on June 5.

Shortly after, the lunar mood shifts yet again, turning energies inward as the moon moves into receptive Capricorn. At the same time, the moon void of course ends, opening the early morning up again making plans and commitments.

Mercury in steady Taurus then forms an earth trine with Jupiter in constructive Capricorn, providing luck and opportunity for helpful discussions today. Later on, the sun in Taurus forms a sextile with Neptune in Pisces, honing perceptions and directing energy toward our ideals.

Moon is trine Uranus at 3:38 p.m.

Moon is square Chiron at 4:28 p.m.

The productive conversations of the morning may lead to sudden breakthroughs and innovations as the moon in reserved Capricorn forms an earth trine with Uranus in abundant Taurus. Plans that are being made around managing material resources may take an exciting new direction.

Shortly after, the moon in earthy Capricorn forms an edgy square with Chiron in Aries, catalyzing emotional expression and release on themes of soul healing.

Saturn goes retrograde 9:09 p.m.

By nightfall, Saturn, the stern planet of time, tests, and trials, grinds to a halt and begins its retrograde journey. Lasting until September 29, this is quite a long passage that will carry Saturn out of Aquarius and back into Capricorn again on July 1.

This is a time where we may see much of our constructive progress, personally and collectively, undergoing a reassessment. We may feel stalled in our momentum, as the issues that have come up this year in health, society, and the economy are still in the process of being resolved. It will be important to tap into patience now and use this opportunity to rework whatever comes back up again.
