May 19: A Feeling of Hurry Up, and Wait

Moon is sextile Venus Rx at 1:17 a.m.

Moon is square Pluto Rx at 8:51 a.m.

The early morning sextile between the moon in fiery Aries, and Venus in playful Gemini, could be seen as a continuation of yesterday’s bold expressions, but these may intensify in the romantic realm today. The height of this aspect occurs when most of us are likely to be asleep, but it may have lingering effects throughout the day.

These may show up as new romantic developments if we have been bold and courageous lately when speaking our hearts to others. As the day begins, the moon shifts on its course to form an edgy square aspect with Pluto in earthy Capricorn. This hints that the momentum of communications in the past few days is catalyzing inner transformations.

Moon is square Jupiter Rx at 1:33 p.m., and moon void of course begins

The inner transformations that we became aware of this morning may morph into some growing pains, as the moon in assertive Aries forms a square with Jupiter retrograde in Capricorn. Aries is individualistic, and with the moon here, it can heighten a mood of impatience, which is only exacerbated when we come up against the reality that overall growth and progress this year is moving slower than usual.

It may be a feeling of hurry up and wait, when one area of life seems to be opening up, but timing and structural limitations are holding it back. The moon at this time goes void of course for the rest of the day, so we may take some consolation in knowing it’s not the best time to start anything new, for now.

Moon enters Taurus at 7:10 p.m., and moon void of course ends

Moon is square Saturn Rx at 10:58 p.m.

By nightfall, lunar energies become more grounded again, as the moon moves into its sign of exaltation in abundant Taurus, and the void of course ends. The moon is in the balsamic crescent phase, leading up to the new moon in Gemini shortly, so it’s a time of conserving lunar energies, and picking battles so to speak, by being particular about where we are spending our physical and emotional energy at the moment.

It’s a good time to start drawing back into a more receptive mode, to contemplate the eventful past few days. Late at night, the moon in Taurus forms a square with Saturn in contrarian Aquarius. This may add a bit of emotional friction and unease to the late-night hours, which is, fortunately, fleeting.
