May 20: Falling for Illusions and Delusions
Moon is sextile Mars at 5:10 a.m.
Sun enters Gemini at 6:49 a.m.
Moon is conjunct Uranus at 11:07 a.m.
Early in the morning, the grounded Taurus moon forms a helpful sextile with Mars in sensitive Pisces. This is a harmonizing blend of rooted emotions with compassionate initiative. Shortly after, the sun leaves mid-spring Taurus for late spring Gemini, officially beginning the season of the Twins.
This is sure to be a tangible shift, as mutable air Gemini inspires restlessness, and a need to move, play, and socialize. Though we are still under limitation in our society, we can still figure out creative ways to honor what this season inspires. The days in the Northern Hemisphere continue to lengthen, getting warmer in the lead up to Summer, making this a good time to get some fresh air and exercise after an unusually long time of inactivity for many of us.
Later in the morning, the balsamic moon in Taurus joins radical Uranus, igniting innovation and sudden emotional insight. This is a time of emotional awareness of the moment blending with creativity and invention, giving us an uncanny feeling that anything is possible now.
Venus is square Neptune at 4:03 p.m.
By the late afternoon, Venus, now retrograde in Gemini, forms an amplifying square aspect with Neptune in soulful Pisces. Though the square aspect is edgy, in this case, it may not produce anything difficult or urgent, but will definitely exacerbate idealism when it comes to love now.
This may feel like an especially imaginative and creative passage, but we must beware of the potential to fall for illusions, and delusions late today. This can be a fun state to explore and enjoy, but some caution is due since it can be very all-consuming, and may feel very real, leading to some blurring of good judgement.
All the aspects mentioned are calculated in Standard Pacific Time, for greater accuracy please adjust to your own location.
