May 21: Compassionate Conversations Restore Us
Moon is sextile Neptune at 12:19 p.m.
Yesterday’s dreamy and illusory mood may extend somewhat into today, with lunar forces connecting potently with two transpersonal planets. Just after noon, the balsamic Taurus moon forms a sextile aspect with Neptune in compassionate Pisces, bringing the intimate, interior world in contact with the transcendental.
This is an imaginative, meditative connection, but with the moon in grounded Taurus, the expansive inner states we can explore today stay tethered to earth. There is a rich, generous, and abundant emotional expression that is blended with an overall theme of healing for the universal collective.
We can tap into these with divinatory practices, letting our minds wander, or we could just relax into a sense of nonlinear time drifting off into all directions. All roads lead back to the heart, so compassionate conversations may restore us today, as well as help support someone in need.
Moon is trine Pluto Rx at 8:29 p.m.
By the evening, the moon exalted in Taurus moves through the sky to form an earth trine aspect with transformative Pluto retrograde in Capricorn. Other lunar aspects this cycle have brought us into a variety of engagements with transpersonal Pluto this month. Some have been difficult, stabilizing uncomfortable passages in emotional and psychological growth. Others have been cooperative and harmonizing when the receptive lunar mood of the moment blends well with the depth and mystery of Pluto’s long, slow processes.
Tonight is one of the more cooperative passages, where the grounded and emotionally generous lunar currents tap into the deep chthonic workings of Pluto on the shifting currents of power in our world. We may reflect on the responsibility that goes along with these. This is an opportunity to take stock of what we have learned so far, to be grateful for the material and emotional resources we have gained, and reflect on the ways we can seek, or offer support to the collective.
All the aspects mentioned are calculated in Standard Pacific Time, for greater accuracy please adjust to your own location.
