May 5: Love, Attraction, and Emotional Unrest

May 5: Love, Attraction, and Emotional Unrest

Moon is inconjunct Neptune 8:43 a.m.

Moon is trine Venus: 9:23 a.m.

Early morning, the moon in calm Libra forms an inconjunct angle with Neptune in mystical Pisces. This is a brief passage of two themes or energies that are not blending, but we are strangely aware of both at once.

Shortly after, the Libran moon forms an air trine with Venus in curious Gemini. The blithe, relational mood of the moment is working in strong harmony with Venus, the planet of love and attraction, in active Gemini. It opens an opportunity for upbeat conversations and connections at the start of the day, as well as romance and creativity.

Moon is square Pluto Rx at 4:05 p.m.

Moon is trine Mars at 4:13 p.m.

By the late afternoon, the moon shifts on its course to engage in a challenging square with Pluto now retrograde in serious Capricorn. This can create a bit of emotional friction and unrest, where a topic of trying to exert emotional control may arise. As Venus’ sign, Libra tends to want to stay focused on what is pleasant, where Pluto often dredges up what is not. There’s a tug of war here in wanting to keep an emotional equilibrium, yet the foreboding topics of the day keep creeping into the conversation.

Shortly after, the moon moves into an air trine with Mars in intellectual Aquarius, which may provide an active social or physical outlet to release frustrations.

Moon is square Jupiter at 7:31 p.m., and moon void of course begins

After dinner, the moon engages Jupiter in earthy Capricorn in a catalyzing square aspect, amplifying emotions and perhaps increasing a yearning for indulgences. The moon in pleasure-loving Libra may coax us into soothing ourselves with nice things like food, drink, or self-care.

With Jupiter in a financially linked sign, this all may take form in an evening of online shopping, but may be better spent taking a long bath, listening to music, and taking a break from work or mental stress. The moon void of course begins after this aspect, so it isn’t the best evening for starting anything new, anyway.
