May 6: Awakening Themes of Inner Healing

May 6: Awakening Themes of Inner Healing

Moon enters Scorpio at 12:05 a.m., and moon void of course ends

Just after midnight, the moon void of course ends, as the waxing moon moves into brooding Scorpio. The sociable and chatty mood of the past days with the moon in Libra comes to an end, as lunar energies pull back into the emotional depths. At the same time, we are one day away from the full moon phase, so emotional potency is also ramping up. As soulful and psychic themes are amplified today, there may be a sense of imminent culmination.

Moon is square Saturn at 3:10 a.m.

Moon is opposite Uranus at 11:31 am

In the wee hours, the moon in tenacious Scorpio forms a square aspect with stern Saturn in fixed air Aquarius. It’s fortunate that this aspect is fleeting, and happens while most of us are sleeping, as squares between the moon and Saturn can trigger moodiness and moments of depression.

It’s important to note that the moon is in its “fall” in Scorpio, concentrating lunar awareness on the hidden depths of our soul, which can dredge up grief and other serious, yet important matters. Saturn is very powerful in Aquarius, in one of its home signs, so the two planetary forces are very established and unyielding in their energies.

It may result in us waking to a rather somber mood, but some insight may have been revealed on the dream plane. We may have a breakthrough and figure out a place to channel this insight later in the morning when the moon opposes innovative Uranus in Taurus.

Moon is inconjunct Chiron at 12:20 p.m.

Shortly after noon, the moon in private Scorpio forms an inconjunct angle with Chiron in Aries. The revelations of the deep Scorpio moon are awakening themes of inner healing, pointing our awareness toward untended wounds. The inconjunct angle between these planets challenges us to harmonize these themes, which may feel a bit elusive today. Both Scorpio and Aries are ruled by Mars, who is in active Aquarius now. Mars may be a unifying force between the moon and Chiron, and there may be some action we can take to physically discharge and cleanse our tensions.
