November 10: Going Deeper

The moon is opposite Neptune retrograde at 12:42 p.m.

After midnight, the Virgo moon forms an opposition with Neptune retrograde, suggesting misunderstandings, emotional exhaustion, and crossed wires. We may feel guilty and anxious to bring our best to the table (a trait of the Virgo moon). In our zeal, we can make unwise sacrifices for those who would take advantage of our good will. Neptune’s presence also implies reading too much into subtleties in exchanges—it’s quite possible to form romantic attachments to unavailable people during this transit. With many of us slumbering, expect surreal dreams, or even nightmares. This influence will linger through the morning hours.

The moon is sextile the Sun at 1:53 p.m.

Mercury enters Scorpio at 1:55 p.m.

In the early afternoon, the moon is sextile to the Scorpio sun, an auspicious connection that syncs the mind and body. Fears and anxieties from early in the day dissipate as we gain perspective on self-sabotaging instincts.

A few minutes later, Mercury, having drifted back into Libra during its retrograde motion, re-enters Scorpio. We are still working our way through the territory of Mercury’s post-retrograde shadow, so expect similar events to transpire or familiar faces to appear so communication issues can be re-assessed and resolved. While Mercury is in Scorpio, hidden information will be revealed and discoveries will be made. Mercury passed over this degree twice before, on October 27 and September 27. Look back to those days for any thematic connections in your retrograde arc.

Ceres is trine Mercury at 6:18 p.m.

In the evening, asteroid Ceres in Pisces and Mercury in Scorpio are trine at the 0 degree of their respective signs. The 0 degree represents new beginnings and non-manifested potential. In Pisces, Ceres, the goddess asteroid connected with nourishment, nurturance, and the rhythm of natural cycles, deepens our ability to demonstrate compassion and hold space. Yet Mercury in Scorpio asks us not to obscure the truth by mincing words or avoiding taboo subject matter.

This transit recognizes spiritual bypassing and the “flight into light” as latent shadows of wellness culture. Words are the strongest medicine right now, and the truly compassionate act is to hold space for dialogue and sit with personal discomfort, acknowledging the difficulty in practice of reconciling two seemingly oppositional ethical perspectives.

The moon is trine Jupiter at 7:55 p.m.

The moon is trine Pluto at 8:20 p.m.

As night falls, the moon falls into an easy trine to Jupiter in Capricorn, creating an atmosphere where we see the growth afforded to us by being vulnerable. The earthiness of the Virgo moon can sometimes be stymied by its affinity for over-analysis, but Jupiter’s influence helps us to find moral, spiritual, and material common ground with others.

Shortly thereafter, the moon creates a trine with Pluto in Capricorn, deepening psychic connections and boosting the accuracy of intuitive hits. We can perceive the potential for self-transformation and healing within mundane tasks and chores, appreciating how everyday activities bear karmic weight.
