November 20: Reading the Proper Signals

November 20: Reading the Proper Signals

The moon is square Uranus retrograde at 2:41 a.m.

In the pre-dawn hours, the Aquarius moon forms an edgy square with Uranus retrograde in Taurus, stimulating electrified, restless moods. With the moon in the sign of Uranus’ modern rulership, our subconscious is receiving signals being broadcast from out in the cosmic void, but because we lack the means to translate these messages, it is difficult to bring concepts from the beyond into manifestation.

The good news is that many of us will be asleep, and the esoteric downloads that would ordinarily interrupt the temperament of waking life are well-suited to the bizarre symbolism of dreams. Upon waking we may feel on edge, like we have been given a task that we can’t quite remember.

The moon is square Mercury at 12:15 p.m.

After noon, the moon squares off with Mercury in Scorpio, turning us into detectives.

While we may be thinking “rationally” now, our judgement is tarnished by an inability to empathize, leading us to jump to erroneous conclusions. Others may find us harsh and judgmental, entering into exchanges with a superiority complex. A detective follows clues; one doesn’t start a case assuming they have all the answers. Similarly, we require both evidence and emotional intelligence to solve our problems. We should make sure we have all the facts before pointing fingers.

The moon is sextile Mars at 4:49 p.m., and moon void of course begins

Before nightfall, the moon creates a harmonious sextile with Mars in Aries, signifying that we do our best work independently by following our own compass. We are driven, not by the allure of others’ approval, or even a desire to win, but by a thirst for stimulation, a need for knowledge, and new information to play with.

This is a good transit for literal exploration, perhaps taking a walk around the neighborhood, hiking a local, trail or making a detour on the commute home. This influence has a bonus side effect: we are at our most attractive when we are doing our own thing! For this reason, we may now attract those of a similar wavelength, who, unconcerned with validation, only want company for an adventure.
