November 21: Welcome to Sagittarius Season!
Venus enters Scorpio at 5:22 a.m.
Around dawn, Venus, the planet of love and romance, enters passionate Scorpio, making emotions run deep. For the next three and a half weeks, we are tasked to wrestle with the enormity, and often, the complexity, of our feelings. Venus in Scorpio engenders extreme highs or lows in romance. This is the terrain of energy vampires and love zombies, of lust and addiction. Questioning power dynamics within relationships can serve to amplify jealousies. Manufacturing strife to force others to “prove” their love or loyalty can backfire, badly.
This is, however, an excellent time to strengthen intimate bonds if our hearts are willing to trust. Venus in Scorpio is ultimately a healing influence, creating an environment for real talk with lovers, as well as a container to safely explore your sexuality with the proper boundaries established and needs communicated.
The sun enters Sagittarius at 12:40 p.m.
In the afternoon, the sun enters Sagittarius, stimulating wanderlust and a thirst for adventure. Despite the current lack of travel opportunities, we certainly don’t need to go far from home to explore. This is a period of new education, a time to allow foreign perspectives to prompt deeper self-examination of our own beliefs. Differences in political, spiritual, academic, and ideological leanings are a huge crux of our current social discourse, and vocalizing our opinions places us in situations where we must also listen to others in order to grow.
Sagittarius may be known for upholding dogmatic standards, but keep in mind it is a mutable sign. The only fixed thing about Sagittarius is the certainty that beliefs change; ideas of what is right and wrong are culturally imbued and constantly in flux. This is a month encouraging us to broaden our horizons and with it, the scope of our own experience.
The moon enters Pisces at 8:06 p.m., and moon void of course ends
The moon is square the sun at 8:45 p.m.
At nightfall the moon enters Pisces, ending its void of course. The Pisces moon awakens our inner mystic, facilitating daydreams. We likely will not want to use this time for anything other than creative or imaginative tasks. It is also an ideal lunar transit for any kind of spiritual study, as we more easily ascertain the interconnectedness of our Self and the rest of humanity.
Shortly following this, the Pisces moon and Sagittarius sun lock into the waxing quarter moon. This aspect’s optimism is offset by the fact that the state of the world is not matching up to the ideal in our imagination!
Despite frustrations that we cannot steamroll over society’s current conditions into a utopian future, we can take a small step in the right direction by channeling our enthusiasm into facilitating the new moon intentions we set on November 12. Where are you making progress? What requires a leap of faith? Where do you need to nudge conditions in the correct direction if they appear to be going off-track? Don’t sleep on opportunities if they present themselves. There are times when we have to make our own luck.
All the aspects mentioned are calculated in Standard Pacific Time, for greater accuracy please adjust to your own location.
