October 18: A Quest for Justice

October 18: A Quest for Justice

The moon is sextile Venus at 3:05 a.m.

The moon is trine Neptune Rx at 3:28 a.m.

The moon is sextile Jupiter at 4:39 a.m.

Sunday is a remarkably busy day for planetary aspects. It all begins before sunrise, as the Scorpio moon forms a sextile with Venus in precise Virgo. This moon/Venus sextile is helpful and constructive, helping us ground our emotions and express our feelings of love in our relationships.

Soon after, the moon in watery Scorpio forms a trine with Neptune in oceanic Pisces. This trine is sure to magnify our feelings and tap us meditatively into psychic currents or transcendental states. Moon/Neptune trines can feel very imaginative, encouraging us to daydream and envision new possibilities.

An hour later, the Scorpio moon forms another supportive sextile, this time with Jupiter in patient Capricorn. Like the moon/Venus sextile from earlier in the day, this aspect is very beneficial and may help restore our positivity and faith.

The sun is square Saturn at 6:58 a.m.

Venus is opposite Neptune Rx at 7:49 a.m.

The moon is sextile Pluto at 9:43 a.m.

As the Libra sun rises, it forms a challenging square with stern Saturn in Capricorn. This aspect may symbolize the diplomatic focus of the season coming up against structural blockages and frustrations. Attempts by those in leadership positions to keep the peace and find justice may not flow well until we rebuild our society’s foundations. This rebuilding process will take time, so we look for ways to do our best with what we have now.

Venus, in detailed Virgo, then opposes Neptune in dreamy Pisces, highlighting our collective tendencies to escape reality and retreat into fantasy. Venus in Virgo calls on us to be grounded and committed in our relationships, but Neptune in Pisces draws us into imagining all possibilities. We may need to work a little harder to hold these two forces in balance now.

Later on, the potent Scorpio moon forms a sextile with Pluto in Capricorn. This collaborative moon/Pluto connection helps us see behind the curtain, to the hidden workings that guide our perceptions of reality today.

The moon is sextile Saturn at 2:43 p.m., and moon void of course begins

The Scorpio moon moves on to form its fourth sextile today, this time with Saturn in grounded Capricorn. This sextile has a stabilizing effect on the moment’s deep emotions and helps to anchor our instincts in practical pursuits. The moon void of course begins now, marking a time to put new beginnings on pause until the evening.

The moon enters Sagittarius at 9:43 p.m., and moon void of course ends

Mars Rx is square Jupiter at 10:38 p.m.

By nightfall, the waxing moon leaves stoic Capricorn for enthusiastic Sagittarius, and the moon void of course ends. At this point, the lunar mood feels a bit more active and livelier. We may feel less insular and pensive, and more philosophical over the next two days.

The day ends with an amplifying Mars/Jupiter square, that may arouse fiery emotions and strong reactions. This intense square is a repeat from August 4 and may reactivate conflicts in our personal lives, and in the world at large, that revolve around our quest for justice and truth.
