October 2: Venus Enters Virgo

October 2: Venus Enters Virgo

The moon is square Jupiter at 7:58 a.m.

Friday begins with the moon in driven Aries forming a catalytic square aspect with Jupiter in determined Capricorn. The moon is still quite charged up after the full moon phase, and in square aspect to expansive Jupiter, we may be expressing big feelings. Jupiter is the planet of expansion and opportunity, but its growth is slow and gradual in reserved Capricorn. The fiery moon in challenging aspect to Jupiter may highlight some early morning frustrations or impatience with the realities of delayed progress.

Venus enters Virgo at 1:48 p.m.

The moon is square Pluto Rx at 5:00 p.m.

Mid-day, Venus leaves passionate and dramatic Leo to enter earthy, analytical Virgo. Venus, the planet of love and attraction, will be in receptive Virgo until October 27. Until then, we may be working on refining our work/life balance and tuning back into our health routines as acts of self-love. We may also be perfecting our communications in our relationships and putting to order any unrealistic expectations.

Late afternoon, the moon in head-strong Aries forms another square aspect, this time with Pluto in authoritative Capricorn. The heated lunar mood clashes with the planet of immense change, and transformation and emotional power struggles may erupt to the surface near the end of the workday. This square aspect may trigger a conflict with someone in our lives or experienced as an inner dialogue of unease and frustration.

The moon is conjunct Mars Rx at 8:57 p.m.

The moon is square Saturn at 10:47 p.m., and moon void of course begins

The past two days’ cosmic weather feels like it has been ramping up to the intensity of tonight’s moon/Mars conjunction in Aries. Tonight may host some cathartic outbursts of anger that feel like they have been building up for some time. This catharsis may be ultimately healing and pressure-relieving, but could also stoke some of us to say things we’ll later regret. Anger is real and often justified, yet there are compassionate ways to handle it.

Late night, the moon makes its last aspect before leaving fiery Aries, forming a square with Saturn in disciplined Capricorn. Saturn is the planet of limitations, and Capricorn is the sign of building structures. After two days of hot-button topics and frustrations, tonight’s square challenges us to form new emotional boundaries to reign in potential reactivity. Many of us feel frustrated and on the defense, but tonight we face the ways that we may have let our emotional fires burn out of control. The moon void of course begins now until Saturday morning.
