September 10: A Hall of Mirrors
The moon is square the sun at 2:26 a.m.
The moon is square Neptune Rx at 5:16 a.m.
Thursday is a bit of a mixed bag for planetary activity and begins with a square aspect between the Gemini moon and the Virgo sun. This square aspect marks the moon’s final quarter phase as it empties its lunar light until the new moon phase on September 17.
The moon and sun are in signs ruled by speedy Mercury, so this square aspect may catalyze a restless burst of activity. We may have a feeling of inner friction that compels us to take action today. Some anxiety could be in the air as this lunar/solar square between Mercury’s earth and air signs could give us the feeling that time is running out on a critical decision, which may or may not be accurate.
The Gemini moon moves along a few hours later to form a disorienting square aspect with nebulous Neptune in sensitive Pisces. This square inflates our emotional state and adds a bit of confusion and fogginess to the morning mood. We may be feeling restless yet unsure as to where we should direct our energy next.
This moon/Neptune square may feel like we are in a hall of mirrors, where we are reacting to ideas that feel very real; but it may turn out that these are only illusions or projections of our imagination. This aspect could be useful to channel into artful projects, but it may not be the best for practical activity.
Mercury is opposite Chiron Rx at 3:24 p.m.
Mercury in peace-loving Libra forms an opposition with Chiron in thrill-seeking Aries in the afternoon, bringing inner healing topics into our conversations. Mercury may help us take an objective and balanced look at our personal and collective wounds and help us access an emotional yet diplomatic vocabulary when discussing sensitive issues. The opposition is a confronting and polarizing aspect, so it could symbolize a question that we must face that we can no longer ignore.
The moon is sextile Mars Rx at 9:48 p.m., and moon void of course begins
Late night, the frenetic Gemini moon forms a helpful sextile aspect with Mars, now retrograde, in Aries. This aspect may help give an outlet to any Mars-type frustrations that need release. We may feel unusually energized, and it may be hard to settle down for the night. At this point, the moon void of course phase begins but will end shortly after midnight.
All the aspects mentioned are calculated in Standard Pacific Time, for greater accuracy please adjust to your own location
